About the Bowls Club
Milford's Covid protocols are attached below.
We have a full fixture list for the 2021 season but we know that games will be lost or reduced in accordance with government rulings. Our opening Drive was on the 24th April when we had the maximum 24 players allowed on the green. We are not allowed to have spectators on the premises but they can watch from the road. Our Club competitions have been drawn and are posted in the windows of the club. Due to the pandemic we are trying to discourage the use of cash in the club so we have started using a contactless card reader for the bar which will also take subs payments and any other sales that the club makes.
We are a thriving local village bowling club with members of all abilities and ages. We welcome novices and experienced players alike.
We play at County and Club level, there are league games and friendly games against other clubs.
Friday night is club night with a roll-up followed by a cooked supper.
During the winter the club has two short mats on which we play league games friendlies and roll-ups. We have a whist drive on alternate Mondays, quiz nights and skittles evenings against other local clubs and organisations. On the first Sunday in the month, during the winter we have a roast dinner cooked in the club.
If you are interested why not come along and meet us. Our season starts around the middle of April and we are open every day from 2:00pm. Bowls and shoes are available for beginners, so come and try it.
